Second grade students! Are you ready for a field trip?
In second grade we study animal habitats as. part of our Science curriculum. We thought it would be fun to kick off this unit with a virtual field trip to the San Diego Zoo.
- Follow the link to the San Diego Zoo Seesaw activity. Learn about Giant Pandas today.
- When you are finished, tell me what you learned on this document.
- When you are finished and have submitted your work to our Google Classroom, go back to the San Diego Zoo and learn about some different animals.
NOTE: Idaho Content Standards for Second Grade: Students explore different animal habitats (forest, desert, water, rainforest, and wetland) and how different plants and animals survive in those habitats. Students who demonstrate understanding can: LS2-2-1. Make observations of plants and animals to compare the diversity of life in different habitats (Idaho State Department of Education).
This activity will be completed at home on any internet-enabled device. Students will have prior understanding of how to retrieve assignments from Google Classroom, print their response sheet, and upload a photo to Class Dojo. Assignments will be submitted through Class Dojo will appear on their student portfolio for parents to view and comment. (insert photo of assignment.
